Kennel-Aire’s quality pet products a complement to Petmate’s current product lines
Arlington, TX (July 25, 2011) – Continuing its strategy of providing superior and innovative pet product solutions to pet parents, Petmate announced today that it has acquired the products and intellectual property rights of Kennel-Aire, a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality wire crates, wire pet accessories, plastic pet carriers and other pet accessories, headquartered in Ottawa, KS.
Dedicated to the manufacturing and marketing of pet products that ensure the safety and comfort of pets, convenience for pet owners and the integration of pets as members of the household, Kennel-Aire brings with it a history of industry leadership in the development of products that utilize plastic and wire construction to meet consumers’ pet containment, training and travel needs.

In the interim, Kennel-Aire will continue to manage all of the distribution activities for the product lines. The acquisition encompasses various assets including products, equipment, intellectual property and working capital. Petmate will continue to design, develop and market these pet products under Kennel-Aire’s brand names following the acquisition.
